Today, the Public Ministry (PM) convened its inaugural Interinstitutional Meeting of Supervisors and Inspectors General, bringing together representatives from:

PM’s General Supervision/Inspection Office

The Judicial Organism

The Comptroller General’s Office

The National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF)

The Public Defense Directorate

Led by Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, the session focused on boosting institutional transparency and efficiency in the ongoing fight against corruption and impunity.

Shared insights on inspection protocols, technological tools, and internal oversight best practices

Emphasis on strengthened communication and accountability across institutions

Special attendees included the Anti-Corruption Secretary, Mr. Miguel Estuardo Ávila Vásquez and the PM Training Director, Mr. Sergio Raúl Ortiz

Mrs. Porras Argueta emphasized the crucial role of oversight bodies in identifying and addressing internal misconduct. She noted how collaboration and shared expertise are vital to tackling institutional challenges and enhancing reporting mechanisms.

She concluded by affirming that such joint efforts are building stronger, more transparent, and integrity-driven institutions committed to ending corruption and impunity.
