The Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, continues to hold working meetings with prosecutorial and administrative staff to follow up on institutional strengthening actions, ensuring the continuity of efficient and quality service.

On the morning of Wednesday, December 6, she met with Section Prosecutors and Deputy Section Prosecutors from specialized prosecutors’ offices. The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretaries-General, the Administrative Chief, Regional Coordinating Prosecutors, the Coordinator of the Fiscal and Technical Information System, the Chief of the Information and Press Department, and the Director of the Training Unit.

During the meeting, Mr. Porras Argueta acknowledged the work of the prosecutors who have demonstrated effectiveness in performing their duties throughout the year 2023, in favor of the Guatemalan population.

Under the administration of Dr. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, the Public Ministry has reduced 98% of cases in arrears from previous administrations and resolved 96% of newly filed cases.
