The accused faces charges of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute, as well as manufacturing and distributing five kilograms or more of a mixture containing cocaine, with the intent, knowledge, and reasonable cause to believe it would be illegally imported into the United States.

An investigation by law enforcement identified a drug trafficking organization operating across the Americas since at least 2008, responsible for importing significant amounts of cocaine into the United States.

Inter-institutional coordination between the Public Ministry, Special and Elite Forces of the National Civil Police (PNC), and the U.S. Government has effectively led to the apprehension of individuals requested by various U.S. districts.

Among those captured are two foreigners serving sentences in the country for drug trafficking, and a Guatemalan facing criminal charges in Guatemala. Extradition will proceed after the completion of their sentences. In 2023, 24 individuals have been apprehended, with 20 of them linked to drug trafficking offenses.
