The Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, continues to hold working meetings to follow up on institutional strengthening actions to ensure the continuity of efficient and quality service.

This morning, she met with heads of Municipal Prosecutors and Prosecution Agencies in the Municipality of the Central West Region (Chimaltenango – Quiché).

Accompanying her were the Second General Subsecretary, Chief Administrative Officer, the Regional Prosecutor VII, Central West, the Coordinator of the Fiscal Information and Technical System, the Chief of the Information and Press Department, and the Director of the Training Unit.

Mrs. Porras Argueta acknowledged the work of the prosecutors who have achieved a level of effectiveness in carrying out their duties during the year 2023, in favor of the Guatemalan population. During her administration, the Public Ministry has reduced 98% of cases pending from previous administrations and resolved 96% of newly filed cases.

The Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, urges the prosecutorial staff to continue working with effort and dedication for the benefit of the Guatemalan population.
