On Saturday, March 9th, as a result of operations against drug trafficking, the Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office, in inter-institutional coordination with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of the Interior, inspected a boat intercepted 345 nautical miles off the Pacific coast. It was then transported to the Pacific Naval Base located in Puerto San José, Escuintla.

As a result of the operation, 805 rectangular packages containing cocaine were seized, according to the preliminary field test conducted on-site.

Additionally, the apprehension of the boat’s crew was coordinated, consisting of three individuals of Mexican nationality and two of Ecuadorian origin.
