Quiché: Sentenced to 284 Years in Prison for Rape and Sexual Assault
The Public Ministry, through the Women’s Prosecution Agency in Quiché, successfully obtained a sentence from the Sentencing Tribunal for Femicide and other forms of Violence against Women, in that department, condemning Ronaldo Tecú Román to 268 years in prison for the crime of rape and an additional 16 years and 4 months for sexual assault, totaling 284 years without parole.
The assaults took place at his residence in Rabinal, Baja Verapaz. He committed the crime of rape 14 times and sexual assault twice.
