PM Coordinates Arrest of Fifth Extraditable Individual of 2025

Te Public Ministry coordinated the arrest of Roberto Carlo Girón Hernández, also known as “Gordo” and “RC,” who is wanted for extradition by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida on drug trafficking charges.

A law enforcement investigation identified him as part of a Guatemalan drug trafficking network that, between 2015 and 2023, established supply sources in Colombia and acted as transportation coordinators, financiers, and intermediaries between suppliers and large-scale cocaine buyers.

The investigation revealed that the fugitive operated as a receiver of cocaine shipments sent from Colombia to Central America and Mexico, ultimately destined for the United States.

So far in 2025, the Public Ministry has coordinated the arrests of five individuals for extradition purposes:

• Elder Alfredo Guerra Soto, 37, was apprehended in Llano Grande Austriaco, Quezaltepeque, Chiquimula, on sexual assault charges.

• Daniel Aycinena Fernández, also known as “Dana Leigt,” “Danna Breman,” “Rony David Ramos Barrera,” or “José Miguel Salazar Fortuni,” was arrested on January 24 for conspiracy to distribute methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) and demethylenedioxy, possession and use of firearms, and conspiracy to conduct financial transactions with drug trafficking proceeds.

• Yoel Alter, a Lev Tahor sect member, was arrested the same day. He is wanted by the Mexican government for his alleged involvement in organized crime with the intent to commit human trafficking-related offenses.

• Franklin Enrique Sarceño Orla was arrested on January 31 in Chiquimula for his alleged involvement in kidnapping, rape, sexual assault, robbery, and related crimes.
