The Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, led a working meeting focused on the maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to upholding international standards in quality management.

Also participating were representatives from the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC):
Mr. Gabriel Jaime Londoño Berrío, auditor, along with assistants Mr. Luis Humberto Sylva, Mr. Luis Alberto Mirón, and Mrs. Ahixa Carolina Perdomo.

The meeting was also attended virtually by personnel from 295 Public Ministry offices, including regional and municipal prosecutors, as well as administrative authorities.

The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen the capabilities and resources of each Public Ministry office, ensuring the provision of efficient, transparent, and high-quality service to the public.

Mrs. Porras emphasized that the institution currently maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification across:

• 273 municipal prosecution agencies
• 23 district prosecutor’s offices
• 45 municipal prosecutor’s offices
• 29 sectional prosecutor’s offices
• The National Registry of Sex Offenders

The discussion also covered process optimization, regulatory updates, and the implementation of institutional best practices, all aimed at increasing operational efficiency and improving citizen satisfaction.

Furthermore, the meeting encouraged knowledge sharing among the various offices, with the aim of fostering collaboration and unifying public service standards.

These actions are essential in building a justice system that is closer, more accessible, and more effective for all citizens.
