CICNAG Operation: Over 800 Cocaine Packages Seized in Escuintla, Three Arrested
The Prosecutor’s Office for Narcotics Crimes, in coordination with the Metropolitan Regional Prosecutor’s Office and with support from the Transnational Anti-Gang Center (CAT), the Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis Sub-Directorate (SGAIA), and the Ministry of National Defense, carried out search, inspection, seizure, and evidence collection operations across two properties in the municipalities of Iztapa and San José, Escuintla Department.
These operations were executed under the coordination of the Inter-Institutional Center Against Narcotrafficking in Guatemala (CICNAG), following investigative leads related to structures engaged in illicit drug trafficking.
As a result, authorities seized 867 packages of cocaine (as confirmed by field testing), five satellite radios, six GPS devices, three firearms, six satellite buoys, a magazine, three cell phones, 57 live rounds, and Q175,400.00 in cash.

In addition, eight vehicles and five vessels were seized, and the arrest of three individuals, identified as Allende Z., Luis R., and Walter R., was coordinated.
The results of this operation deliver a significant blow to what is believed to be a criminal network involved in drug trafficking and maritime logistics. The Prosecutor’s Office for Narcotics Crimes will continue its investigations into the matter.
