Coatepeque: Sentenced to 26 Years for Rape
The Public Ministry, through the Women’s Prosecutor’s Office in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango, succeeded in obtaining a conviction from the First Instance Court for Narcotics and Environmental Crimes in that municipality against Miguel Cristofer Temaj Pérez to 26 years and 8 months in prison for the crime of rape with aggravated penalties in real concurrence.
The rapes occurred on two different dates, February 18 and May 23, 2021, inside his residence located on La Aurora alley, Bethania village, Coatepeque, against a 10-year-old girl.
The hearing for dignified reparation has been scheduled for February 12th.
