The Narcotics Crimes Prosecutor’s Office continues strategic actions to combat street-level drug sales

The Public Ministry, through the Narcotics Crimes Prosecutor’s Office, in interinstitutional coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and within the framework of the Interinstitutional Center Against Narcotrafficking in Guatemala (CICNAG), conducted search, inspection, and seizure operations as part of strategic investigations to combat street-level drug sales.

In the municipalities of Guatemala and San José, Escuintla, the arrest of three individuals was coordinated: César Augusto Farfán Campos, Alan Rodolfo Rodríguez, and Gabriel Alexander Luna Lemus. Additionally, 24.50 grams of cocaine, one gram of crack, and 11 grams of marijuana were seized, based on preliminary field tests; Q671 in cash, a mobile phone, and a firearm.

Furthermore, search operations were carried out at two properties located in the municipalities of Zapotitlán and Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez, where the following results were obtained: the arrest of José Neftalí López Reyes, Juan José Garzona Peña, and Robin Adolfo Godínez Marroquín.

Additionally, Q478.75 in cash, a mobile phone, 19.5 grams of cocaine, and 9 grams of marijuana were seized, based on field tests.
