The Narcotics Crimes Prosecutor’s Office spearheaded an operation against a criminal cell dedicated to drug trafficking
Through the strategic investigation of the Narcotics Crimes Prosecutor`s Office, authorities targeted a group involved in selling small drug doses and connected to armed attacks against others in this illegal trade.
In coordination with the National Civil Police, raids were conducted in various areas of Guatemala City, specifically in the municipality of Mixco.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of several members, the seizure of firearms, cash, and cell phones.
Notably, two high-ranking individuals coordinating armed attacks were captured, leading to positive outcomes in disrupting the criminal cell.
The seized evidence is as follows:
• Three pistols
• One submachine gun
• Four mobile phones
• Six large plastic containers with suspected cocaine
• 90 live rounds for firearms
• 210 grams of suspected cocaine
• 19 small plastic containers with suspected cocaine
• 45 whitish stones, presumably crack
• 15 capsules with suspected cocaine
• 193 grams of suspected marijuana
• The cash amount of Q. 25,700.00 (GTQ)
