Attorney General Porras Argueta Leads Launch of Interinstitutional Anti-Corruption Platform
Mrs. María Consuelo Porras Argueta, Attorney General of the Republic and Chief of the Public Ministry, presided over the formal launch of Phase I of the Interinstitutional Anti-Corruption Technological Platform—a digital system designed to enhance the prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of corruption-related offenses.
The event was also attended by:
- Mr. Juan Carlos Monroy Véliz, Superintendent of Special Verification, Superintendency of Banks (SIB);
- Mr. Werner Ovalle Ramírez, Superintendent of the Tax Administration (SAT); and
- Mr. Carlos Emilio Morales Cancino, Deputy Comptroller for Probity, Office of the Comptroller General (CGC).
The platform enables the automated interconnection of institutional data linked to the misappropriation of public funds, suspicious financial transactions, and formal corruption complaints. This technological integration supports criminal analysis, facilitates evidentiary gathering, and strengthens case-building for prosecution.
During its initial implementation, the platform focuses on two criminal justice priorities:
- Oversight of public expenditure through financial reporting, budget execution audits, and forensic accounting records.
- Combating corruption, by tracking filed complaints, criminal proceedings, and compliance reports from government entities.

This tool is a proactive response to combat public sector fraud, enhance transparency, and enforce accountability across government institutions.
With this initiative, participating agencies reaffirm their institutional commitment to eradicating corrupt practices and promoting integrity within the justice system.
